Haryana Govt. has notified the Haryana Maintenance of Parents and Senior Citizen Rules 2009 for the welfare of Senior Citizens under Sub Section 1 read with Sub Section 2 of Section 32 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2007. As per provision of the Haryana Maintenance of Parents and Senior Citizen Rules 2009 mandate that their must be a Maintenance Tribunal (1 Official Member and 2 Non- Official Members). Similarly their must be Senior Citizen Appellate Tribunal under the Chairmanship of each District Magistrate with in their respective jurisdiction with District Magistrate as official member and two non official members. The Haryana Govt. has notified a scheme “Operation of Maintenance and Appellate Tribunals for Senior Citizens under Haryana Maintenance of parent and Senior Citizens 2009” for paying the travelling for meeting allowance or honorarium or remuneration to non official members as the State Govt. may decide from time to time.
