 Note:- 1) Newly eligible Pensioners may obtain Pension application forms from respective Block/Municipal Committee Offices of their area.

 2) Pension disbursement starts by 10th of each month.

 3) Enrolement of eligible Pensioners for opening of Bank accounts keeps going regularly  in the concerned    Block/Municipal Committee Offices.

Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme

The scheme aims to provide social security to old persons who are unable to sustain themselves from their own resources and fulfilling the eligibility criteria.

A person of Haryana domicile, aged 60 years or above is eligible for the pension.

Pension provided @ Rs.500/- p.m. per beneficiary, @ Rs.550/- p.m. per beneficiary and @ Rs. 700/- p.m. per beneficiary depending on enrolment years of beneficiary.

His/her income from all sources together with that of his/her spouse does not exceed  50,000/- per annum.


Pension to widows and destitute women (Widow Pension)


 She is widow, destitute without husband, parents and son(s).

 The pension is provided @ Rs.750/- p.m. per beneficiary.

A woman of age 18 years and above is eligible for grant of pension under the Scheme if she is domicile of Haryana and has been residing in Haryana State for the last one year at the time of submission of application and her own income from all sources is below ` 30,000/- per annum

 She is destitute due to desertion or physical/mental incapacity of,

(a) Husband in case of married woman; or

(b) Parents in case of other women.


Pension to disabled persons (Disability Pension) 

The disability pension aims at providing social security to disabled with a minimum of 70% disability including the blind, deaf & dumb 100% and 50 %  IQ, mentally retarded

Under the scheme Rs.500/- p.m. and for 100% disabled Rs. 750/- per month per beneficiary is provided.

Their income does not exceed the minimum wages of unskilled labourer  as notified by Labour Deptt.

To scrutinize the applications and sanction pension, the committees for scrutiny had been formed for rural and urban areas separately.


Ladli Social Security Allowance Scheme (LADLI)

Any family where biological single parent/parents are domicile of Haryana or working for Government of Haryana and having no son, biological or adopted, but only daughter/daughters are eligible to get benefit @ ` 500/- per month under this Scheme.

Gross Annual Income from all sources of the family must not exceed Rs.2,00,000/-

The eligible family will be entitled to receive benefit under this Scheme for a period of 15 years from the date either of the two parents completes 45 years of age. The benefit will be paid to the mother, if surviving. In case the mother is not surviving, the benefit will be paid to the father.

Financial Assistance to Destitute Children Scheme (FADC)

Under the scheme Rs. 200/- per month per child is provided.

A child under twenty-one years of age if he/she is domicile of Haryana and is residing in Haryana State and has been deprived of parental support or care by reason of death, or continued absence from home of his father for the last 2 years, or father/mother has been sentenced to imprisonment for a period not less than one year, or physical/mental incapacity of a parent and whose parents/guardians' income from all sources do not exceed ` 30,000/- per annum shall be eligible for financial assistance under this Scheme.


Allowance of Eunuchs

Under the scheme Rs. 500/- per month per beneficiary is provided.


Allowance of Dwarfs

Under the scheme Rs. 500/- per month per beneficiary is provided.

Pension to Kashmiri Migrated Families

Under the scheme Rs. 1000/- per month per beneficiary is provided.


Financial Assistance to the Non-School Going Disabled Children Scheme

A person having physical disability in the age-group of below 18 years and should be a domicile of Haryana State and should be residing in Haryana State for the last three years at the time of submission of application.

The applicantÂ’s close relatives and parents are not in a financial position to support him/ her and the income of his/ her parents, close relatives or his/ her own income from all sources is less than the income as prescribed under the Minimum Wages Act, i.e. Rs. 3510/- in 2008. He/She will have to submit proof of income verified by the competent authority.

The assistance would not be given to such children who are already receiving assistance under the Scholarship, Unemployment Allowance and Handicapped Pension Schemes being implemented by the Social Justice& Empowerment Department, Haryana.

The applicant should have the following disabilities:-(a) Mental Retardation with I.Q not exceeding 35.
